Stars Rooftop & Grill Room offers the best private dining and event experience in Charleston, South Carolina. Our location on Upper King Street, in the heart of the historic peninsula, provides the perfect downtown atmosphere for any event. We have two unique spaces available for private parties ranging from 15, up to 140 people. Whether your group is large or small, we have a style that fits perfectly with your taste, and the occasion you’re celebrating. Our newly updated Catering Menu includes passed hors d’oeuvres, buffet style, and plated serving options, as well as several bar packages to choose from, so you can customize your event down to the last detail.
Stars’ Wilkinson Room, on our second floor, offers space for up to 100 people and accommodations for a wide range of events and celebrations. The exposed brick walls, wood flooring, and high beamed ceilings, evoke the architectural history of the Holy City, while large windows provide views of King Street and the Charleston skyline that are sure to leave an impression on your guests. Commemorate a special anniversary or engagement with Chef Attended stations placed around the room. Each station features a unique menu selection and accompanying sides. Your guests are free to make their way to the stations of their choice where a chef will be waiting to make sure everything they need is available. Host a dinner celebrating the hard work of your employees, and treat them to a perfectly prepared three course meal, featuring some of Stars’ most loved dishes. Pre-select three courses and sides from our Plated Options menu, or allow guests to choose their courses at your event with our Tableside ordering option.
Stars’ Rooftop Bar is an ideal space for hosts seeking to wow their guests with beautiful 360 degree views of the 18th century architecture and steeples that dot the horizon of the Holy City, as well as the sky full of twinkling constellations that give Stars its name. Your guests can gather around one of the two full bars, or relax on cushioned seating near the natural sea grass and herb planters that line the edge of the rooftop. Charleston’s mild temperatures make the open space a favorite during most seasons, and space heaters are available to ensure that your guests are comfortable, should the air become cool. This space can hold up to 140 people, and lends itself well to our Passed Hors d’Oeuvres, Chef Attended Stations, or Buffet Style serving options. This space also allows for the addition of grills to create Live Action Chef Stations.
Celebrate your birthday by sharing a champagne toast with your guests as you watch the sun set over the beautiful Charleston skyline, or gather your wedding party for an elegant rehearsal dinner above the lights of the city. The Stars rooftop is also a favorite bachelorette party destination for soon-to-be brides, and we offer special bachelorette menu options upon request.
