Charleston Shrimp & Grits Festival

Join us at the Joe on September 19th, from 6pm-9pm, to help decide who’ll win the coveted Best Shrimp and Grits title this year. Enjoy live music, cold drinks, and 20 renditions of the Lowcountry’s favorite dish, as prepared by 20 of the best chefs in town. Proceeds from this lighthearted event will benefit the Charleston Animal Society, so grab your tickets today and have a great time while you help out Lowcountry pets! While you’re at the festival, be sure to look for our very own Chef Tyler Chavis in the competition. He’ll be the one with the biggest crowd of hungry partygoers around him waiting for a taste!

Southern Living Taste of Charleston

The weekend of September 25th-27th will mark the 35th anniversary of Charleston’s favorite culinary extravaganza: the Southern Living Taste of Charleston. The event, which takes place among the hundred-year-old oak trees at historic Boone Hall Plantation, will showcase 50 of the Lowcountry’s favorite casual and fine dining restaurants, each serving sample sized portions of their best dishes. Attendees can also enjoy live music, a specialty beer tasting tent, interesting workshops and fun contests, like the Iron Chef Competition and the always exciting Waiter’s Race. Tickets sell out quickly for this popular event, so get yours today, and we’ll see you there!
