Delicious New Desserts at Stars Rooftop & Grill Room

Pastry Chef Ross Evans just introduced seasonally-inspired, delicious new desserts at Stars Rooftop & Grill Room that are perfect for summer.  From local seasonal fruits to (always-in-season) decadent chocolate creations, the Stars dessert menu has a sweet finish for everyone’s palette.

Chef Evans designs all his plates to be artistic and deletable and the new desserts certainly reflect his signature.  Sample his artistry with the newly added Sorghum Creme Brulee (local strawberries, black pepper crisp, chantilly),  Blueberries and Cream (lemon curd, candied blueberries, caramel cremeux and blueberry sauce) or Roasted Heirloom Peaches (ricotta ice cream, balsamic gastrique, caramel crumble).  If you are a kid at heart with definite grown up tastes, you will want to sip Stars’ new Whisky Milkshake & Cookies (Tennessee sipping whisky, vanilla bean ice cream, Hickory Hill milk).

Blueberries and Cream

Two of Stars most popular desserts, Smoked Chocolate S’more Pie and Charleston Pluff Mud Pudding, remain on the menu for the summer. The Smoked Chocolate S’more Pie features a graham cracker crust, smoked chocolate and marshmallow.  The Charleston Pluff Mud Pudding combines dark chocolate ganache, milk chocolate mousse, local pecan bark and brown sugar sauce.

In addition to crafting these amazing desserts for Stars’ guests to enjoy this summer, Chef Ross Evans will be heading to Atlanta, Georgia in August to compete for Chocolatier of the Year at the prestigious Pastry Live event.  Carefully selected for expertise and abilities, each finalist will produce two different chocolate dishes and meticulously handcraft their creations in front of judges and an audience in order to obtain the title of Chocolatier of the Year.  Having already won numerous accolades and awards including sweeping Charleston’s own Chocolate Affair event, we have no doubt Chef Evans will bring home the win!

We invite you to Stars to taste for yourself the delicious desserts created by our award-winning Pastry Chef Ross Evans.  Stars is open daily for dinner at 5:00 p.m.  Reservations can be made by calling our restaurant at 843-577-0100 or reserving your table online.
